The University of Pau and Adour Countries is a fully accredited institution that is part of the state system of higher education in France.
If you only want to "audit" a course with no exam you receive a "Certificate of Completion". You can also take the final exam in the form of a paper to write after the end of the course. The grade is pass or fail - if you pass you earn two European Credit Transfer and Accumulation Systems (ECTS) credits. Two ECTS credits are typically equivalent to one U.S. "semester credit" or four UK university credits. (Check your home institution for other countries.)
